NHS Service Project at IVLA

Zienab

Zienab Rouissiya - IVLA student in Morocco

Hello, my name is Zienab Rouissiya. I am a tenth-grade student here at IVLA and a member of the National Honor Society. I am so honored to announce IVLA’s newest NHS service project: a collaboration with CardzforKidz.

CardzforKidz is a non-profit organization that “ is dedicated to uplifting the spirits of disheartened children and solemn seniors by sending encouraging handmade cards.” This organization has worked with thousands of children around the world for almost a decade. They have sent cards to more than 400 locations in over 40 countries. More than 100,000 cards have been delivered!

We are very proud to work and collaborate with an organization whose goal is to bring joy to sick patients around the world. We at NHS have done our part, now it's your turn!

Anyone can contribute whether you're a student, parent, teacher, or just someone interested in making the world a better place. Participating is easy; it just takes a few minutes to write a heartfelt message to help motivate and provide hope for the individual who reads it. It doesn't have to be extravagant, just a simple thoughtful message.

If you're an IVLA student, teacher, or parent, a great time to make some cards would be during our school-wide social hours! Anyone can attend virtually and bring their own supplies to make a card to send to someone in need. Call, email, or chat with us for details about joining. NHS members will be there to walk you through the whole process. This project will run from March 11th - April 30th. You can send your cards at the address below at any time within the time range.

Please send your completed cards to: Cardz for Kidz!, 323 East Wacker Drive #11, Chicago, IL, 60601

You can use glitter, stickers, colored pencils, crayons as well as any creative utensils you have at home. You can also write in different languages. Some of our students have already written cards in French, Arabic, Spanish, Korean, Chinese as well as many more!

As an NHS member, I am very happy to be a part of such a wonderful project. This is something that is really dear to my heart because since I was a little girl I have loved children. Now I have the opportunity to send as many as I can to make children smile! You can as well. This is an amazing project that will bring joy to many people around the world, we would love it if you participated!
