Stephanie Martinez

Stephanie MartinezHello from The Sunshine State!

My name is Stephanie Martinez and I teach Middle School English with International Virtual Learning Academy. When I am not proofreading essays and discussing novels, reading and writing are still a big part of my life and two of my very favorite activities to partake in when I have free time. It is my hope that all of my students will enjoy literature as much as I do! I live in Florida with my husband and two sons. As a family, we enjoy going to sporting events and rooting for our local sports teams, as well as enjoying the beautiful beaches near us.

After graduating from the University of Miami, I started my career as a teacher in a traditional public middle school classroom setting and I continued teaching for seven years before making the decision to stay home and raise my two boys, as well as tutor part-time. Now that my boys are school age, I am excited to return to teaching and even more excited to do so in a virtual setting, where I can interact with students from so many different places!
