All IVLA courses are designed to allow students to move forward at their own pace as they master the course material. This means that no one gets left behind and no one gets held back. Students move forward at a pace that is right for them. Mastery-based progress is measured by a variety of methods, including quizzes, tests, papers, computer assessment, projects and a variety of out-of-school experiences. In addition, each fulltime IVLA student is assigned a mentor who monitors the student’s weekly education progress.
