“For what are you thankful?” is the inquiry flying about this time of year.  Here is how a few of our IVLA teachers answered this timely question ~

Thanksgiving Contest - What Are You Thankful For?

I am thankful to be part of a school that give students an opportunity to learn in a different learning environment than a traditional public school. Having taught in the public school system for 16 years, I see so many students that need the opportunity for a different learning environment. Being a military family myself, I am thankful that we give our soldiers’ children an opportunity to continue with an education they may have started receiving in the US before their family was reassigned to another country.  ~ Lindsey Breshears

I’m thankful for being able to help students reach their goals.  ~James Perkins

I am thankful to work for IVLA because it allows me to teach kids around the world, but still be able to be home with my own children.  ~ Lauren Herrera

I am thankful to work for IVLA because I get to meet so many interesting people from around the world and continue to expand and fine tune my teaching skills and experience – all while being able to stay home with my baby.  🙂  This job truly made the difference in allowing my family to make this decision.  Happy Thanksgiving!  ~ Allison Halstead

By helping to facilitate their children’s education, I get to play if only a tiny part in the amazing things these families are doing around the world.  For this I am thankful! ~ JanElle Hoffman

I am thankful to be a part of IVLA for many reasons. The flexibility, my kind colleagues, and working with students are all amazing aspects of my job, but the single, greatest reason that I am thankful to be a part of IVLA is the opportunity it presents to be a part of the future of education. ~ Lynnsey McGarrh

I’m thankful to be a part of IVLA because I get to meet great students who live all over the world. ~ Andrea Gardner

I am so very thankful that I work for IVLA because I am learning new things from my coworkers every day and I am interacting with amazing students from all around the world!  ~ Brittney Follansbee

I am grateful to be working for IVLA because I have the opportunity to stay at home with my kids and still be involved in education.  Also, it gives me flexibility and I get to work with fantastic students all over the world and we have a great staff.  ~ Tami Warnick

I am thankful to work with some of the most talented and dedicated educators in our country! ~ Devin Alderson
