It is an honor to be teaching high school French and Spanish with International Virtual Learning Academy. I love learning foreign languages and traveling. I’ve lived in such places as France, New Zealand, and Malaysia; I am originally from upstate New York. Prior to IVLA, I worked as a high school Spanish teacher at an international school in Penang, Malaysia for four years. I earned my Bachelor of Arts in French with a minor in Spanish from Gordon College, and I am currently in the process of obtaining my master’s degree in Spanish from Baylor University. Previous work experience includes teaching French on the community college level, working as a French translator for a software company, and serving as a medical secretary to Spanish-speaking clients. As learning foreign languages is one of my passions, I hope to inspire a love of languages in my students as they embark on their own journey of learning a new language.
