This document outlines the Terms and Conditions for all scholarships, bursaries and awards administered by the International Virtual Learning Academy (“IVLA”) Scholarship Outreach Program. All scholarships, bursaries and awards will be referred to as ‘scholarships’ herein. By submitting an application for an IVLA scholarship, you are agreeing to these terms and conditions.
You must read these Terms and Conditions in their entirety before you accept your scholarship offer. When you accept your scholarship you are agreeing to and accepting these Terms and Conditions and agree to the requirements and conditions of your scholarship.
Applicants will be assessed according to the assessment criteria set by IVLA. Only completed applications accompanied by all supporting documents will be considered. Applicants may be requested to submit further information upon request. Scholarships are limited in number, and subject to availability. Even if an applicant meets scholarship criteria, a scholarship may not be awarded. The scholarship will be awarded at the sole discretion of IVLA.
Students in receipt of a scholarship may also be required to sign an individual scholarship agreement. Students must meet all conditions as outlined in their scholarship agreement.
All correspondence between an applicant and IVLA will be operated primarily via email, with the option of telephone communication, based on IVLA’s criteria. All applicants must provide an email address to be eligible. IVLA is not responsible if an applicant does not receive any notifications due to any changes to this email address, after the applicant’s submission of their scholarship application.
Any successful applicant may be required to show proof that they are enrolled in an accredited university, college, or trade school, commencing studies for the fall semester, 2025.
All students offered scholarships will receive an official ‘offer’ email offering the funds, and must reply either accepting or rejecting this offer within 14 days of receipt.
Failure to respond within this 14-day period may result in the scholarship offer being withdrawn and reassigned. You must accept your scholarship offer by the due date, as instructed in your offer email, to be eligible to receive payment.
IVLA will make payment of the funds in one single installment, though we reserve the right to make payment in multiple installments, directly to the school where the applicant was accepted.
The total value of the scholarship offered will be $1,000 USD
The winner of the IVLA scholarship hereby agrees to allow IVLA to announce, at a minimum, the winning student’s first name, the first letter of the student’s last name, and the city and state that the winning student resides in. Such announcements may include, but are not limited to, website blogs, email blasts, Facebook posts, press releases, Twitter posts, Instagram posts, television commercials, and/or radio commercials. IVLA reserves the right to ask the winning student to agree to additional promotional activities, with said agreement/permission to be at the sole discretion of the winning student.
IVLA reserves the right to make final decisions on how payment is made, and can withdraw the offer of scholarship if an amicable and realistic payment process cannot be reached.
Scholarships are awarded based on established eligibility criteria. You must meet the eligibility requirements to receive your scholarship payment. The eligibility requirements for each scholarship are outlined on our scholarship page of our website. IVLA does not guarantee that any applicant will be successful in being awarded a scholarship, and you agree that IVLA has no obligation to you in connection with your scholarship application.
You agree that IVLA is not responsible for and cannot provide you with financial advice on taxation matters. The information provided here is of a general nature only and does not take into account your individual financial circumstances. IVLA is not responsible for checking and notifying you of, nor paying, any tax obligations you may incur as a result of accepting a scholarship from IVLA.
Providing false or misleading information is an offence. If IVLA knows or has reason to believe that you have provided false or misleading information, IVLA may reassess your entitlement to the scholarship and you will be liable to re-pay to IVLA the total sum of any payments incorrectly made to you as a result of your provision of false or misleading information in your scholarship application.
IVLA reserves the right to cancel the Scholarship program at any point. IVLA reserves the right to share your application with any company affiliates, including personal information such as your email address.
