What is the difference between your GATE program and your regular program?

Students with the GATE program will have all the resources of our regular program.  Students will work at an advanced level and likely take additional courses. Also, they will work with a GATE specialist each week as they complete projects with other GATE students.

Are there attendance requirements?

Yes.  Students in the GATE program are required to attend weekly meetings with their GATE specialist in a virtual classroom.  During these meetings, GATE students will be working as a team on projects.

How is GATE Eligibility determined?

Eligibility is determined through a compilation of measurements.   IVLA will administer a nationally recognized GATE test that is appropriate to the student’s grade level.  These test scores along with previous school records and a parent questionnaire will be reviewed to determine eligibility for the program.  [...]
