We are excited to announce our NHS Chapter’s Fall Service Project 2021! We invite you to join us and be part of our Operation Clean-Up Crew.
Our mission is to clean up the planet one piece of trash at a time, share ideas on how to reduce waste and use less, and inspire students to make a difference! Students are provided with a Clean-Up Starter Kit that includes safety protocols, items needed, recommended locations, and a step-by-step guide. It also includes Swaps and Tips for eco-friendly transitions of goods that are used in everyday life, such as metal straws and reusable bottles and cloth bags. This project can be completed alone or with family and friends to clean up even more of the planet together!
IVLA’s NHS has teamed up with The Climate Force which focuses on both individual and collective actions to help reduce climate change and negative environmental effects. They offer education for students while providing opportunities for positive change for the environment. They’ve not only partnered with but have spoken to IVLA’s NHS members. To donate to their incredible and important cause, please visit their website: https://www.theclimateforce.org/donate/.
For more information, and to see photos of our students making a difference, please visit us on Instagram at @IVLA_NHS. Our 1st Place Earth Warrior, which will be awarded to the IVLA student who collects the most trash, will be featured here, too! We can’t wait to see the difference our students make around the world!
