Ashlee P Simpson
I am currently studying Radiography at Somerset Community College, following in my father's footsteps, with aspirations to advance to a master's degree in Radiography or pursue medical school to become a radiologist. My passion for medicine, nurtured by a family deeply rooted in healthcare, led me to research the prevalence of Pseudomonas aeruginosa in water, highlighting its health risks in rural Kentucky hospitals. Despite challenges with ADHD, my academic achievements and family support have driven me to help others, whether through my work as a radiology tech assistant, volunteering with young women, or mentoring them, all while being fluent in Spanish thanks to my mother’s teachings.
Our scholarship will be offered again starting in the Fall of 2024
