Middle School History Fair 2021

This November, IVLA hosted a Middle School History Fair and invited all middle school students to submit entries. We received 18 incredible submissions and our judges had a difficult time selecting the winners. Our panel of judges included: teacher, Carin Jaramillo, and three National Honor Society students: Matilda Boero Edelstein, Sydney Fisher, and Bella Stoffel.

Congratulations to our top three winners below!

Our 1st Place winner is Megan Schoenherr. She dressed as her grandfather, a retired Navy Sailor, and recited a monologue as if she were him.

1st Place winner – Megan Schoenherr

Our 2nd Place winner wishes to remain anonymous. This student wrote a diary as if they were Susan B. Anthony fighting for women’s rights.

Our 3rd Place winner is Jamie Hunter. She created a History-in-a-Box project about slavery. Jamie chose a picture of her family and used some of her family’s stories to help her with research. Her grandmother, who is in the photo below, recently passed away, and Jamie is viewing this as a tribute in her honor.
